　　随着奥运会的临近，北京将对餐馆、酒店的餐厨垃圾进行单独收集，并配备专用车辆运输管理。那么，“餐厨垃圾”怎么说呢？

　　Beijing is planning to ban individuals from collecting and processing kitchen waste from the 31 venues and 122 restaurants for next years Olympic Games，which signed as catering partners and are in the first group to carry out the policy.

　　The administration will seek tenders from quality contractors to dispose kitchen waste, who are required to transport waste in marked vehicles and follow regulations such as separating kitchen from non-kitchen waste.

　　报道中说，北京市100多家奥运场馆、奥运签约饭店将作为首批试点，对餐厨垃圾进行单独收集，处理。试点单位将委托收运单位运送餐厨垃圾至指定处理场所。收运垃圾的运输车辆将统一外观，采取专业运输。

　　这里“kitchen waste” 就是“餐厨垃圾”。“Waste” 意为“垃圾”，还可以指废物、浪费、消耗等：“non-kitchen waste” 这里指“非餐厨垃圾”。
